The Creative Symposium Series is a FREE six-part series is a new endeavor to create a space in which creatives of all disciplines and at every stage of their career can engage in artistic dialogue, explore ways to grow in their craft, and cultivate a sense of community and comraderie. In this four hour workshop, Julie Thurber will demonstrate techniques to alter fabric to create a personal narrative of past and present that reflects on influences from one’s own personal experience. Through altering and printing images on fabric, layering and joining them in a variety of ways, each participant will create an original artwork.

Join us in this magical space where we will share our treasure chest of techniques and tips to help you create a unique journal of your own. Your handmade journal will be created with recycled materials and other ephemera to fit your individual artistic storytelling.
